Ideas on how to attach this chicken wire?
Trying to keep the critters out from under our new deck! We started installing chicken wire by stapling it to the facia board, but how can we secure it at the bottom? The dirt here is super dense and has lots of clay. We don’t have a lot of tools and the work area is tight down there. Welcome all suggestions, thank you!

Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
With garden staples. Or tent spikes. Attach end of chicken wire and shove into ground.
Dig a small trench and bury it. You can tack down with spikes.
Home depot sells landscape pegs. .it used for landscape rubber around plants. . You can push them through the wire into the ground. .maybe that will hold your wire down. .don't hurt to try. It . Hope this helps .
You can buy an inexpensive tool called an edger which is manual, looks like a half moon on a pole and use that to dig a small trench to bury the chicken wire. I would use a staple gun to attach the chicken wire closely to the bottom of the deck rails so nothing can get in from the deck surface (those critters are pretty smart). If you have enough chicken wire to bend it at the bottom inward and then bury it you will keep those burrowing animals out. Then secure the wire with stakes and bury it, tamping the soil down hard. Don't let them get the best of you! Best wishes.
