Are you looking for plantings or something else?
Have you consulted a hardware store about using 6 mil or heavier gauge plastic held in place with heavy rocks? Is your soil banked at a steep slope to rapidly drain moisture away from your foundation? Do you need a Hydro -Blox system or other water diverting system installed? Do you have a gutter guard system attached to downspouts which go underground, at leat 6-8 feet away fro your house, and sloped downward?
there is a product called dry lock that you paint on to keep moisture out, I hope it is available in Canada, hope this helps xx
