Put a rubber stopper over the drain when not in use.

Thanks, but they're not silverfish. They have a full name but they are recognized as stink bugs that have a smell if you squish them. They come in through siding and windows. Thanks for the input.

I have seen a trap built using an old soda bottle. I have also hear cleaning windows with windex will discourage them?

You have to inspect all of your windows and doors for any small cracks or crevice openings. The outside of your house has to be sprayed as they get into the siding and under the eaves. They are a nightmare!

  • We had an invasion too. My husband sprayed a spray around the perimited of our house. But you really need to check your screens, foundation, siding, and anything that might have holes leading into your house. This is the best way for them to get inside! They should be dying off now and you shouldn't have to worry about them in the fall/winter.

    Thanks everyone.

Now is the time to do those things before they get in places to hibernate before winter hits. I will get on this because I was getting at least 1 or 2 a day since the warming days of early Spring. They stopped when it got really warm for them to be outside.
