Pretty much right! Roundup is getting a bad rap right now, but we use it in certain areas, like the gravel driveway. Johnson grass is tough and hard to get all the roots when it is pulled.
Apply pre-emergent herbicide in Feb. or whenever the snow is gone in your area. In early spring, apply broadleaf herbicide and a root stimulator. In early autumn, apply a general herbicide and fertilizer. Keep your lawn mowed to about 3-5 inches, as long as you don’t have snow. That should take care of Johnson grass and most other weeds in a thick healthy lawn. Best wishes ☺️
