How do you update Z Brick wall?

    Personally I’d dry brush with over it. Put not sure the look you have going. You can also white wash it by watering the paint and brush on and whip off

    If yours is like many I have seen- I would "re-point" the grout so the space between the bricks are closer to the thickness of the bricks. Home improvement store should be able to provide you with suggestions with some options on what product to use and a "mason's bag" or fillable caulking tube. A mason bag is similar to a pastry bag, use to decorate cakes. Applying a German smear, a white washing, or dry brushing the brick like Shelly suggested is probably a good idea and easier to do before repointing.
