Garage storage and organization with metal pegboard from Wall Control, a family owned company in Georgia. Made in the USA.

Organizing my (Vicki) garage with Wall Control metal pegboard was one of the best features of the entire garage makeover. It's great to be able to see all the tools and, even better, having a home for everything so it's easy to put things back where they belong.

Wall Control is a manufacturer of metal pegboard and accessories in the United States. They are located right up the road from us in Georgia near Atlanta. We love that they are family owned and operated!

We started with a totally blank canvas in the garage. We first had to take down old metal shelving, fill holes and paint, but once we got to this point, we were ready to put up the Wall Control panels.

We had a lot of unboxing to do which is a good thing! All the panels and accessories are well packaged against denting and scratching. All the product arrived to us in perfect condition.

The first step is to determine placement. We used a laser level to help line everything up. In this picture, Steph is using a magnetic stud finder to located the studs in the wall. Ideally, the panels should be placed on studs. None of our panels lined up with the studs inside the wall so we used the dry wall anchors that were included with the panels.

For every panel, we marked the screw placement, drilled a hole for the wall anchor, hammered the anchors into place, added the panel and then screwed them into place.

On the right side of the window, we added the entire top row of panels and then the second row. On the left we did one on top and then put the one below. This methods was superior to the way we did it on the right side. Once the first panel is straight and in place, it very easy to get the others correctly installed.

Now the fun part! Putting all the accessories into place to hold all the tools. Wall Control sells a variety of accessories, but their pegboard is also compatible with standard pegboard accessories. We used a mix of Wall Control and standard pegboard accessories for our wall.

These "found" baskets were easy to attach with the smallest Wall Control pegs. They hold hard to "peg' items like chemicals, handtowels, bottles, and more.

Here's a great place to store clamps and there are shelves for things like sanders and other power tools.

This is a screwdriver holder, but it works well for spade bits. That's a magnetic holder made by Husky Tools to the right. It works well on the Wall Control panel.

This holder can hold tape or, its real purpose, paper towels!

On the right side, we have easy access to even more tools!

All finished! Everything now has a place! We can easily grab our safety equipment, measuring tools, and more.

What would you organize with metal pegboard? We also have used these panels in Steph's laundry room and in my utility hallway.

I love the organization, but are mom and daughter actually organized enough that you really put things away *where they belong* after using them? My work bench is often buried with tools and gadgets from previous projects and any new project starts with having to clean up after the last one.

Did you pay for this system or was it sponsored by Wall Control?
