how about an over the door hanger?
Get a piece of 1x12, (or wider space permitting) Pine is ok. If you go to HomeDepot or Lowes, they'll cut it to the length you need. Ask them to show you brackets for installation. Sand the sharp edges, paint or stain to your liking, since this is a high moisture space, it must be sealed some way. This is just a basic shelf that should serve your needs. Have fun!
Have you thought about recycling a metal wine bottle rack?
I would hang a decorative ladder on the wall to give you several rungs on which to hang your towels. So pretty, too!
I had a similar lack of space. I purchased wire baskets from Hobby Lobby and hung them on the wall. If you need to store several towels, roll them and place in the baskets.
Wow. That is great ideas. I super love the wire basket idea. I think il take that one. Thanx everyone!
You can also cruise the thrift store and look for a wine bottle rack. Give it a coat of paint, roll your towels then stick them in the slots!
Instant towel storage!
