How to repair a washing machine?

And sears is now closed down, I feel sick as I live on a cery small pension and paid nearly $3,000 for it. What do I do now, I don’t know anyone handy just waundering if they sell longer warranties in Canada for your machines, it’s just sitting down there brand new looking but cannot use it. Any help will be gratefully acknowledged and God willing someone will have answers. Thanks to all for your help and input

Check for recalls. Samsung brand did a recap of their washers, but I never saw it publisiized. I fell upon that info while looking for something else.

Your local Sears may have shut down, but Sears is still in business. I don't know of anyone that will sell you an extended warranty on something that isn't working already. Call Sears and see if they have someone that can look at it, it may be something simple. If not, you could always look for a used appliance place and get a used washer. I still get emails from Sears and Kmart still carries a lot of Sears Kenmore products.

Something like this happened to me. I called the mfg. who had sold out and couldn't do a thing. Kept calling the new owners daily. I finally got a brand new appliance delivered at their expense SQUEAK WHEEL, SQUEAK!!
