Check out this super fun project we did! Using only cement and a dollar store veggie tray! We poured a cement floor in our garage and had some left over cement (yay!) so I pulled out this veggie tray made a personalized stepping stone in our garden, here's how!
It's a pretty simple process. You want to fill the veggie tray with the quick set concrete and once it dries, it's pretty much ready!
First, fill the tray with the concrete and let it fully dry. Here's a photo of once the concrete was dry and out of the tray. You can choose to add stones or sea glass for some pretty character.
Then I used a bright red chalk paint for the base color of the stepping stone. Looking good!!
Then I hand painted some pretty details.  To finish it off, I sealed it with Thompson water seal and then two coats of polyurethane. It looks so sweet, and you can make a whole bunch to create a stepping stone path. It was easy and fun to put together and I hope you go for it yourself!

In the first pic of the stones I see what looks like chicken wire. Did you use chicken wire in making the stepping stones?

How did you get the cement out of the tray. Does it break or damage the tray?
