How do I use my mom's china in new home decor ways?
I have three sets of china that my mom and mother-in-law left us. How do I honor it by using some of it but not have to store all of it? I plan to give some away, sell, donate, but want to use some in decor. Grown children do not want to use it.

hello, you could hang a couple on the wall next to a nice picture of roses.
Display it on a plate rail above a doorway or window. Place select items on open shelves. If you have a china cabinet, place select pieces inside.
Have you considered using some as stacked servers. Like a large plate on the bottom, a $$ store candlestick glued on, then a smaller plate on top to use to serve at holidays or parties? They would be beautiful and you would have them out. Save the smaller pie plates for serving to match the serving double tray! Just an idea.
If there are some chipped or cracked pieces create a mosaic table top with them. Or use them in your garden for plants or bird seed or even water. Frame them in a shadow box and create a vignette using some other meaningful things from your family like old photos, wedding announcements, bits of lace, a pair of gloves and dried flowers.
Hi Carol,
I love to hang plates on the wall. Try hanging a few together along with some old family photos in vintage frames. This would be a lovely way to honor your loved ones and add to your decor.
Hi Carol - These two posts are from the archives so apologies for the quality. But they make give you some ideas and inspiration. Good luck! Hugs, Holly

Use a Teapot to display flowers, teacup can also be used as with the saucer and sideplates for flower display as a centre pieces for table on special occasion.
Beautiful! I love them. I think you should make a china wreath. I think a wreath would be beautiful! 3 sets 3 wreaths. You can put them in different rooms. Have fun!!! Connie
