    Bring the plants inside.

You can bring them inside but they need direct sun and typically do not over winter inside

Lou, cut the plant back a little bit to get rid of old blooms and to make the plant focus on new growth. Bring it inside to an area of your house that gets several hours of sunlight every day. Water as soon as the soil gets dry and use a liquid fertilizer every couple of weeks.

Before you get frost (mid to late September, watch the weather forecast as the frost will possibly kill the plant) do some cleaning up. Remove any old branches, spent leaves, deadhead if necessary. If you wish repot to a smaller one. Treat the plant for any bugs (you don't want them inside!) You can then bring them inside. You can leave them near a sunny window or leave them in a cool portion of the basement (that gets some sun). Water them once a week, but don't fertilize until spring.

Bring them outside next year in the spring!
