I Decorate my front door every month with the theme for the month such as Halloween decoration Christmas decoration football decorating etc. and I use the heavy duty outdoor command strips and they only last about 30 days and then they fall off the door and my plaques hit the ground and break. I do not want to drill a hole in my metal door because it will rust or be permanent hole and it’s a brand new door any suggestions besides command strips???

Try hanging the hooks on the inside of the door (where it will be less affected by weather) and use thin craft wire (the kind on a paddle that you get at the art/craft stores). Wire the inside hook and wrap the wire over the door and hang your plaque from this.

Can you use magnets on your door? If so you can buy those coin sized magnets from the craft store (rare earth magnets). Attach/glue/epoxy hooks to the magnet to hold your plaques, or glue smaller magnets to the plaques to hold onto the stronger magnet on the door. I don't believe the magnets rust.

Hi Patty. Is there a glass window on the door? I use a big suction cup that is made for wreathes and such to hang on doors. I have had them up since last spring and they stay on great. Good Luck!
