Is the water coming in around a window or other opening that it can simply blow in? Is it possible it’s coming through the wall or floor and settling near the fireplace because it’s a low spot from the weight? There are lots of factors other than roof and fireplace. It could simply be filling up the chimney until the flu can’t hold anymore water then seeping down inside there in the seams make sure there’s nothing just over the chimney that can funnel drops of water into it.

Pictures or drawings of the patio and all openings would help a lot. Even the height of your home compared to elevation of your land.
