I used to be intimidated by the thought of messing with the glass in my cabinet doors! I have passed over furniture pieces because I did not want to have to deal with the cost of replacing a cracked pane.

Recently I created my own problem by removing the glass from a hutch in order to get rid of the glare. Here is how I replaced that glass in the cabinet door once my photos were finished.
1. If this is painted furniture, take this time to remove any leftover staples or nails. Clean and paint the area where your glass will sit.
2. Grab your caulking gun and Silicone.

3. Hold your caulking gun at a 45-degree angle and run a bead of silicone around the entire edge that the glass will sit in.
4. Put your glass on the ledge and center it.
5. Run another bead of silicone around the inside corner and get it down into any gap between the wood and the glass.
6. Carefully weight your glass down. Make sure you don't put anything that might crack your glass!!!
After the recommended time to dry passes (check your silicone product for manufacturer guidelines) hang your cabinet doors and celebrate.
