How do I prevent gladiolus from falling over?

I planted gladiolus in a pot, and all around my garden, most are up against something so they don't fall over, but almost all of them are breaking, like in the picture. It was very windy and the wind may have helped. What do I do? Do I try propping them up with some wire and fishing string? Or cut them, but where can I cut them? Thanks for any help.

If they have bloomed - cut them back to a foot. If have not bloomed - use a stick, green yarn and prop them up.

Mine did the same thing this year. They came up, leaned over...then didn't bloom. Not sure what/why this happened, any ideas, anyone?

Get some wooden dowels skinny and tall, put them in the pot, cut some small strips of old panty hose and tie them to the dowels.

Looks like the bulbs were not planted deep enough, however the wooden dowels

& panty hose will do the trick. Then after they bloom, cut them off so the bulbs

will get bigger. I plant mine by a fence and they kinda lean against it.

i had the same problem during their growth period so before they got to long of stems I insert a bamboo stick about inch from base of growth in the ground and tied them with twine and they bloomed nicely.

Wwire coat hangers. Strighten them out except for the hook bend at a 90. Make them as tall as you want. Put the stright part in the ground use the hook part to put arount the leafs. Spray paint with green if needed.
