How do I remove a hard to reach kitchen faucet?

These look like the water lines to your sink. Am I missing something?

First turn off the water. Then remove the drain pipes (very easy). Put something under the trap to catch the water, about a liter of waist water necessary to prevent sewer odors coming back into the house. Disconnect the water pipes from the valves. Remove the sprayer head and thread the hose down through the hole. All the loose hoses become less cumbersome as they can be moved around then. A special sink wrench can be rented from your local hardware store usually. It's not a hard job except for the disposer. If there is enough room to get around it.

Go to your local hardware store and explain the problem to them. There is a special tool that will allow you to reach up under your sink to remove that faucet. Buy the tool and good luck. It isn’t a fun job. I laid sofa cushions on the floor across the edge of the cupboard to make the job easier on my back.

Hi. I hate to say this, but you may have to remove the garbage disposal to reach the connectors. Then as Carol and Roy said and showed, using a faucet wrench makes the work easier. I also sometimes use "liquid wrench" to spray on the connectors to loosen. Good luck!

If nothing else works, then you may have to disassemble the whole sink from the plumbing and disposal. Remove the clamps that hold the sink to the counter and then lift out the sink and remove the faucet. Think of it as placing the faucet on a new sink onto the counter in reverse. Again, this is the easiest way if nothing else works.

I just did this last month. It is a horrible job to do because it's so cramped in there, but lay something down and get comfortable. The basin wrench worked for me, but it took awhile to work it out of the spot. I bought a new faucet and they've come out with some much better ways of installing them in the past few years.
