How do I put up pre-pasted wallpaper?

I have done so many times. Follow the instructions on the roll. Make sure your first piece is perfectly straight and run form there. Check a few tutorials online. It is not very difficult. My biggest suggestion is make sure you have a very sharp utility knife to trim it. the paper will tear easily when wet until it has dried on the wall. You will need to trim it WHEN is on the wall (like around your window). You cannot precut it to the exact size and put it up. You need a little extra "wiggle" room for the paper to stretch and you will need to trim it around the window and where it touches the ceiling. No ceiling is perfectly straight.

Hanging wall paper is fairly easy. Soak the paper fold in on itself, line up the pattern repeat. Make sure you have a good supply of sharp knife for trimming after hanging. And surface prep is a must. Make sure any holes or marks on the walls have been fixed.

The hardest part is matching the pattern from strip to strip. Make sure you buy extra. Depending on the pattern you choose you will have waste. I've found the pattern repeats every 12" 15" or 18". Make sure you hang each piece in the same direction. Cut the first step and hang. The next strip--- before you cut it--hang it up and eyeball to make sure the second strip's pattern matches the first. After the first two steps, EZ peasy. Good luck!

I have done it. You just need to run a plumb line on your wall, and match. Some patterns take extra paper because of matching. Look on youtube for a video of some one giving hints on. Will not be as wordy as some.

A plumb line is like a tape measure, only it has chalk and pull out string with a weight on it. Most walls are not perfectly straight. For a window you can cut out paper to fit, or run till window and use short pieces across top. If you seem it right, you will not notice.

I've done it many times. It's really not that hard. The most difficult part is deciding on a pattern! Make sure you have a sturdy, large table and necessary tools ahead of time. Take your time and be patient with yourself. It will look great as long as you keep the seams matched. The air bubbles that can't be popped with a pin and squeezed out will just disappear when the wallpaper dries. To get started, cut a strip a few inches longer than needed and "paint" on the water with a paint brush, then fold that half to the bottom half so you can carry it over to the wall. Square up the top portion, then release the bottom half. Remember that no one will inspect it the way you will when you are doing the job. Good luck!
