How to paint my steal outside doors?
they are chipping and just want to freshen them up thanks

Sand down the chipped areas. Use metal primer on them. If painting similar color no need to prime the whole door. If no storm door - use exterior enamel. DO NOT use chalk paint. It cannot be scrubbed.
You need to remove the old paint, then 1.) treat with an primer paint specifically purposed for preventing rust on steel and 2.) paint with the color you prefer using either oil based or latex paints. Acrylic paint is not a good choice for painting metal.
