When you don't throw anything away you end up with quite the stash of interesting pieces. Today I'm repurposing the wheel from an old redwood patio set my parents threw out.
I rescued the wheel which was already broken and flat on one side so when I saw it sat flat on the table I got right to work turning it into an awesome repurposed pumpkin!
I painted the wheel with white chalky paint then drilled a hole in the top to add a piece of gourd that came in an old potpourri set. You can use anything for the stem, I've made others using an old wine cork. My repurposed pumpkin was now half way there!
While I was at it I found an old wooden circle disc in my stash and cut the bottom flat with a chop saw. I added a gourd stem and faux fall leaves to the top. I added a piece of curled wire to act as a tendril.
It couldn't be easier to turn these old wooden circles into a couple of the cutest rustic repurposed pumpkins I own!
