How to cover Sliding doors?

I have sliding doors and I’m trying to find the best DIY way to cover them. I don’t want to use the standard blinds to cover them because I want to keep to top part uncovered for light filtering. Please take a look at the picture. Mine are sliding doors but the top is similar to the one in picture. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

1st with a view like that I would never cover...try window film much like contact paper..allows light to come through but blocks ..available at amazon
They have fabric pull down shades that can cover half the window. Speciality dont know correct term
I would try the static cling kind of window film. If you don't like it, there won't be a residue to clean up after removal.
They have a honeycomb type shade that actually pulls UP from the floor.
Beautiful doors! I buy handmade rice papers, some with plants embedded in them and cut them to fit the lower windows in my house. I put a dab of hot glue on the corners and in a few other places and the paper is held in place for years. You can get plain rice paper with fibers in it and also many pale colors if you like that look. Some very earthy ones too. Light comes through the top panes and a soft light comes through the rice paper, but it provides privacy. It should also work on your doors.
But the honey comb shades are great. The ones that I have seen can be let down from the top (the thin cords will be visible on each side AND up from the bottom. So you can leave them down on the bottom and bring them down from the top to whatever height you want them to be from the floor. They are pricy though.
