Transform Your Old Shed Into a Garden Table

After much deliberation my husband and I replaced two rotting sheds with one large one (I confess to buying a kit shed, the idea being we would get to use it this summer rather than spending a year trying to find old pallets etc for making our own). But this left us with a lot of wood from the old sheds to deal with. Although rotten at the edges the main parts were still useable.
First off was to find the best piece from the two old sheds. Using a scorpion electrical saw my husband cut away the rotten wood to create a table top measuring 3’9” by 5’3”.
Any loose boards were nailed down to the supports running underneath.
Additional supports were placed underneath running in the opposite direction to the original supports.
We finished the edges of the garden table with architrave, miterred at the edges.
Any gaps between the architrave and table were filled with external filler.
The next step to add legs to the table. My husband used pieces of wood measuring 1 3/4 by 3 1/2″ into  2’5″ lengths (it is fractionally higher than our old table but at 6′ tall I have no complaints!) . These were screwed in place to the supports on the underside.
Additional supports were place between each table leg to add strength to the legs. There are more detailed instructions on the blog.
Finally the table was painted firstly with a primer and then with external garden paint.
The table happily sits the four of us and at a push ten, I am so delighted with the finished table.

Your pillow covers are very nice. They are crocheted, correct? What type of yarn/string did you use to withstand the weather, please?
