How would you arrange things in this room and what would you change?

Move loveseat in front of window. Chair is not big enough for the window.

You could try putting the "room" on an angle.....basically just turning the whole room on a 45.....looks like you have the space.....?

Personally I don’t like furniture in front of windows. If it was my living room. I would put the love seat we’re the tv and lamps are then put the loveseat were the tv and lamps are and put the couch we’re the love seat is This is how I arranged my living room and I think it looks great. I also have a lot of door ways to the kitchen and hallway. You can always put a decorative throw blanket on the back of the couch to make it a little more fancy when company comes over. ....oh move the chair in another room totally...... hope this helps

I would bring the chairs closer in and maybe use a glass coffee table instead of this one. Then arrange the pillows closer together, maybe in one corner. I would use tie back curtains in a light gray. And decluttter the room.

Move the loveseat closer to the sofa to make an "L" shape. Get a larger/taller end table to fill that corner space where the sofa and loveseat arms meet. Then move the wing chair more toward where the loveseat was and set it at an angle. You may need to adjust the carpet a bit and move it closer to the sofa. This way everyone can converse and also watch TV. You don't want to move the TV as I'm sure you have it where the hook up is. And moving it to the sofa wall would cause window glare. I like your color combination. Very cheery yet sophisticated.

Move the couch to where the tv/stand is. It’s a beautiful wall design behind it that is now lost behind the tv. Love seat to where chairs are (under the window). TV to where love seat is. Suggest a shallow, open cabinet with square openings for books or something to put behind the tv. It should be no higher than they tv stand. A plant or a modern statue on that stand will hide the back of the tv. Two chairs where love seat is. This will open up the room. Arrange plants and floor lamps accordingly to balance the room.

A few changes to try: Partially incorporate the former dining room into the living room by eliminating the current chair and putting the red chair in its place--a most pleasant reading spot. If you need another chair in the larger room, consider a straight/dining room chair angled at the far end of the arched window; the thin legs won't unbalance the speakers. Ideally, add a good-size bookcase or other shelves behind the repositioned red chair. The bookcase could also showcase attractive kitchen/dining items), a long narrow table under the DR window, and a good reading light on the left of the chair (tall downlight or mounted on wall). The small items could be elsewhere. Freebie sites! Pull the couch toward the DR (almost to the end of the wall?) and put the little side table at the other end of the couch. Pull the loveseat off the rug for a moment and reposition it close and directly in front of the couch. Return the loveseat to its place but a little closer to the window and angle the seats a bit toward the couch (enhances conversation, gives more space for the front door and passageway in front of couch, and echoes the diagonals in the handsome wall treatment without overdoing it). Transfer the coffee table to the loveseat, and place it close enough to reach from a sitting position but far enough to allow access to the seats. (In its present place, it's not reachable by anybody, is too small a scale for the couch, and is in the way for walking to the far door.) Center the TV-wall furniture better on it wall (there should be more clearance by the door now), and center the TV on its cabinet.

P.S. One pair of lamps and one single might be better, then transfer the red lamp to the red reading chair. Whatever the little table items in the DR are holding can be transferred within reach to the long, low table I'm imagining for you--plus a trivet for your cup of coffee and your book.

Ideally for my own personality, I would try and take out some of the red accents, their are 2 accents here competing against each other. Dark grey and red. Perhaps very light grey cushion covers with black edging and the same for the red lamp shades. A red chunky dish on the coffee table, keeping the red colour lower down.

Some people need warm colours around themselves to give them encouragement to get up and go.

Center your rug to the room first then swap the loveseat and the chair, keeping the chair fairly close and putting one of your floor lamps between them. Move the coffee table closer to the couch so that it isn't in the middle of the room. Slide your little table out from the wall a bit further and move floor lamp behind it, beside couch.

Hi Laura, I love your colors!! I would simply swap the chair and the loveseat, that will allow you to put a side table beside the chair without impeding the walkway into the Livingroom. all the rest looks good (in my opinion)

Grey two Seater in front of window! so they are opposite each other. Red tall lamps either side of TV. Paint White unit Grey to match furniture. Place Red chair at end of Grey two seater. Place one of the Red Floor lamps in corner behind Red chair and the other in opposite corner. Change shade for Grey. Use Grey cushion only. This should make the room look less cluttered.
