Sounds like it might be caused by a dirty air filter.

If your filter is reusable, take it out, vacuum it carefully, then wash it, if it is the kind of material that can be washed. (Mine is washable foam.)

Sometimes, the drain tube gets blocked, just like in a refrigerator. You'll need a brush on a long flexible handle to ream it out. A French horn clean-out snake works great for this.

If you can't reuse your filter, get a new one, but still clean out the drain tube.

Best wishes for success with your AC unit!

Also sounds like you are low on freon.

Take Your Ac apart and give it a good wash. You'll be surprised how dirty they can get, which consequentially leads to blockage. Dry it, put it back together. Use it.

If it had ice on it you definitely are low on Freon. You need A HVAC technician.

You may need a new condensing coil. A leaky one can cause the

freon to leak out resulting in a lack of cooling. This is a professional job.

If you aren't getting air inside the house, you have an evaporator fan out. Either the blower motor is bad or the capacitor for the motor has blown. I've been doing this type of work for over 40 years. Always look for the simple stuff first. If the air can't move over the evaporator or inside coil, the coil will freeze up. Follow the other tips of changing the filter and flushing the drain but a refrigerant leak is always the last thing to look for.

This into our AC unit and it ended up being the capacitor .
