How can I stop water from coming into the Window well

We have a window well and with this hard rain for four days water is overflowing into the window well. Can anyone help. Thank you

If the ground around the window well is higher than the lip of the window well, Is that your problem? Resloping the level of the dirt away from the window well help. Remember any standing /pooling water next to the foundation of the house is not a good thing.

  The yard must slope away from the foundation of the house.

  I don’t believe a wall will work. Water will always find the lowest spot regardless of where it is. French drains are very popular because they lower than the yard and move water away from your building.

That happened to me, and it was water coming in through the roofing tiles that were not sealed at the joined properly.

Window well cover... I have seen them made of clear plastic it acts like a little roof.
