Gold Pipe Hanging Storage for Craft Room

I knew I needed to put some sort of organization in place for my creative studio/home office, but wanted to do it in a fun way, especially since organization is not something that comes easily to me. I was instantly inspired by the West Elm Industrial Pipe Storage Rail System when I came across it in their catalog. After a trip to the hardware store and a little macgyvering of some items I already had on hand, I was able to create my own {glammed up} version. You can see the full post and photos on my blog.

Copper Pipe and pipe fittings were used to create the rail {same system I use to hang our curtains}. I spray painted them gold to glam them up a bit and to match some of the gold accents in my studio.

I wanted to figure out a solution to hang the jars, using items I already had on hand. I mixed some old curtain hooks with another batch of {newer} curtain hooks and had the perfect hanging solution! I spray painted some mason jar lids turquoise and then tied some coral rope around the lid before screwing the lid back on and hanging them from the hooks.

DIY Gold Pipe Hanging Storage
I decided to keep the top rack for magazines, which I enjoy switching out, and the bottom rack for hanging jars.

I love this idea. I'm in the process of " trying " to sort out my sewing/craft room. I moved rooms, to give our grandson a bigger bedroom. I was shocked to discover I had gathered so much stuff/crap in a few years. I have so many toys for my grandchildren they are taking up more space in the room than my crafty bits and bobs.

Iove this idea using jars and curtain hooks to tidy the desk area and other surfaces free from containers and bits that need to be moved each time I'm cutting fabric. Thank you for sharing this cool idea. 👏👏👍👍🐙🐙
