If they are correct size secure them with screws to the frame.

Try using a dollop of silicone caulking under the ends of the slats where they rest on the frame.

Is it a wood frame with wood slats? Could you add some wood glue to the slats to help keep them in place?

Wood slats work best when they're straight I like that, but getting in and out of bed, sometimes we inadvertently move them and they end up like / that and fall out. There are a few ways to keep this from happening. The one I've found most reliable is to create a space I_________I for the slats to each sit down into. No more movement. Another, more modern way to handle this problem is to attach Velcro to both the end of each slat and the space where the slat should sit. Do this at both ends and each space and your slat problems should be over.

Put 2-4 layers of really strong wood shims.

Years ago slats would fall out of my bed. So Dad put a wire around the bed frame sides so it would not move apart. The slats stayed in. My bed sides were metal but I think screwing the slats to the side frame would work and be better..

How would you screw the slats into a metal frame? Wouldn’t you have to drill holes in the metal rails (or frame) first? I have looked at both rails and there are no predrilled holes for doing this. I cannot see that being an easy task!

the whole frame on my right side of the bed is broke. It is made out of wood. On the inside with a wood is that holds the slats up is also broke everything is really broken have I need to have another one made. Are there any furniture places that I could go to and my area that would make another side frame for me

This place in NC makes new side rails. Hope that helps. You could also check thrift shops for old bed sets.

I found with my client's antique wooden bed frames to simply go to the lumber store and buy some extra slats..... so they can't move at an angle which is why they fall out. Measure one of the existing ones for length, and then decide your width like 4" or 3", and depth is usually a bit less than 1" or 5/8"
