Did you repaint your cabinets?

hello, I am going back and forth with the idea of painting my kitchen cabinets. After many views I am closer to deciding to do it using Snow White Milk paint brand.
Have you painted yours and what is your true advice?

I painted my cabinets when I first moved into my current home. It had been a rental and the cabinets were yellow on the inside and mint green on the outside. I went with white and while it was an improvement, I found that I was constantly cleaning them.
When I replaced them, I went with stained and I prefer them for maintenance.
All that said, if you are going to paint here are a few tips:
Number or label all doors and drawers as you remove them. (You'll be shocked that they don't all interchange).
Place all hardware in a container so that you don't end up with a missing piece that can't be matched.
Surface clean.
Use a deglosser if needed.
Sand smooth.
Clean with TSP.
Prime.
Get a professional advice for the correct paint re: durability.
Spray if at all possible.
Jessica, I have painted some of mine. I have not used milk paint because I prefer something close to a factory finish. Milk paint is less durable. This does not bother some people, but I like a hard surface I can clean. I prep well, prime and use a latex enamel gloss paint. This has held up very well.
I have only painted cabinets once and we used regular latex enamel paint bought at home improvement store. Remove doors, all hardware, and clean all with a degreaser. We used "liquid sandpaper" to make the new paint stick over the previous varnished surface.
White is a color that is very difficult to maintain in a kitchen and debatedly only suitably endures and works in a color scheme in a bathroom with a white tub and/or urinal, or:
Exclusively reserved for trim all around the home.
Especially if you cook with Grease, you will eventually much regret getting something so revealing of grease.
One splatter and you gotta paint a spot again...
End result in 5 years is not milk white, but Sour Creamed potatoes with Beef Gravy.
Although you cannot go with black in a kitchen too easily either, you might want to pick a color that instead, much more represents or matches the color of: 'your favorite spice or recipe or dessert or scented candle, as the color you ideally want to paint the walls'.
In a quality home, Every room should have a matching with the walls candle, and a different scent in each room.
Each room has it's own uniquity of environment.
This is why they name paints with names like:
Burnt Cinnamon
Olive Green
Paprika
A family room might paint: Christmas Green, why?
Just like 'Denim Blue' belongs in a Washroom or Laundry Room or Bedroom where you catch the scent of Fabric Softener, The Color belongs where the name of that color most suitably fits and encounters.
As I do not encounter burnt cinammon in my bathroom, nor my bedroom [boy do I wish I did, that and spiced 20 ft. licorice], nor do I hang my bluejeans on a clothesline in my kitchen, thus I put Burnt Cinnamon in the kitchen, and Denim Blue in my 2nd Lavatory/Watershed downstairs and Master Bedroom.
Likewise you need to do similar.
Very likely, you as many others, do not even need to paint the cabinets, but think the cabinets do not match the walls, when in fact what most occurs is: The walls became painted a color or several, which do not match a Spice, nor atall match Cabinets because all cabinets match a Spice, you far more need to paint the walls than the cabinets.

Step one : Clean with White Lightning
Step two : Paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral paint
Step Three : Use Gator Hide for a water resistant finish.
