Oh boy, this one made me laugh. Years ago I hired a carpenter to build a wonderful dog house for our two golden retrievers. The day it was delivered I added doggy beds and chewy bones... to make it home sweet home. I crawled inside with them and tried to make it fun, but for some reason they had no interest in the dog house and preferred to sleep on our porch. Hope you have better luck! :)
There’s plans on line. Think about rainy season, hot summers and cold winters. Where does the rain puddle? Can you run a heat bulb out there in the winter if it’s that cold? Where does the hot air go in the summer? Low maintenance materials are worth the money as this will be time consuming.
Yes, assuming you are in North America, try to get on the back porch or some place that’s already elevated, close to electricity & out of the wind on one side.
