Some stains are embedded in the plastic over time and won’t come out- they’re usually oil/grease stains. The oil sinks into the plastic w/ the heat.

I run the rotating trolley through the top rack of the dishwasher along with the glass plate.

Usually alternating soap and water with a glass cleaner works.

I boil my sponges in vinegar in a 2-cup Pyrex measuring cup which also cleans the fan and loosens up the baked on splatters via steam.

You can try an abrasive cleaner like Comet w/ bleach, and rinse rinse rinse.

Hi Naga! I spritz mine with water, then place a glass measuring cup or bowl with lemon juice and water in it for five minutes. Let it sit for a few minutes and then carefully remove the hot water from the microwave. Magic eraser sponges and microfiber cloths and some elbow grease and you will have a clean microwave. Leave the door open to let it air out and dry completely.

Naga, this girl will show you how, it's the way I do mine. It's over 11 years old and still sparkling white.

Place a mug of water in your microwave. Bring the water to a hard boil for several minutes. It's ok if it splashes over. Leave it for about 15 to 30 minutes and let the stream penetrate any cooked on food. Be careful when removing mug as some handles can remain hot for a long time. Remove turn table and wash in the sink with soapy water. Take a clean wash cloth and wipe down the inside of the microwave. Starting at the top. Keep rinsing your cloth until the microwave is wiped clean of cooked on food. If you still have any greasy residue, then spray on window cleaner and wipe down the microwave. Replace turntable. Don't forget to wipe down inside of front door. The window cleaner also works well on the exterior of the microwave.

Heat a small glass bowl of water in the microwave until it boils, turn off the microwave and let it sit for a few minutes to soften any old food particles. Wipe the inside with a clean rag (a microfiber rag works great). Use a scrubbing sponge or magic eraser on any remaining food. Rewipe with rag. You can add a few slices of fresh lemon or white vinegar to the water before boiling to help deodorize.

  • The easiest method we use is to fill a glass measuring cup with water and lemon and then heat for 5 minutes. Wait for a couple minutes, it will be very hot and be careful removing. You can then easily wipe down your microwave. Hope this helps. Hugs, Holly
