Anyone have an idea of how to get rid of a in ground bees nest?

DON'T KILL THE BEES. They are important to our ecology and are needed to pollinate crops so that we can all have food. They are becoming endangered and without them we will have no food crops.
My dad would forget where all the yellow jacket nests were on his property and kept nearly stepping on them. I made him some yellow jacket ornaments to hang near each one so he could better avoid them in the future.
When i came back for my next visit, none of the ornaments were displayed, and I asked him about it. He said, "Don't need 'em." I asked why not, and he said, "No more bees." I asked where they went. Daddy said, "Bear."
It happened that the bear that makes the rounds to all the houses on their mountain, hoping to find goodies like filled hummingbird feeders, etc., scooped out and ate every one of the yellow jacket nests one night.
You need a bear.

I had a friend with this problem, she hired someone to come vacuum them all out- nest gone, bees relocated where they can do all their good work!
Water lots of it and fast it wil pop the hive right out of the ground , IT works I just did this at my house. Ground bees do not like a nesting area that is always wet the Queen will leave and look for a dryer spot to build her nest
I had a in ground bee problem and I just covered the hole with a rock or a piece of wood. This method worked. Apparently they can dig a hole to get in, but can't dig a hole to get out. If you have young children or a pet that might get hurt from the wasps then I would do it. If no one will get hurt by them I would leave it alone.,
My guess these are ground hornets/wasp or yellow jackets. Just wait until night and apply wasp or hornet spray to entrance or gas...no need to burn. Be careful to to do this during the day, they can be quite aggressive.
