I realized that I’m using several hacks in my bathroom. I’m not necessarily proud of these. They are not staged. But they really help me. I can’t bend over and I can’t stretch up, and I love to be organized, although I seldom reach perfection. But maybe you or somebody you know could use a little help like me. Enjoy! And let me know which, if any, of these ideas strike your fancy.

Built in magazine rack
1. This nice built-in magazine rack is in the “toilet room” inside our master bathroom. Reading magazine in that room has been replaced by our iPhones. From the top, a box of tissues at hand. The tissue box top is the perfect place for a cell phone to wait. Under that, a box of adult wipes, handy but discrete. To the left, room deodorizer. And the real hack, to raise these items to a usable height, toilet paper empty rolls! They don’t move out of place, and truly make these things handy.
Trash can on a stool.
2. I’m short. And I can’t bend over. This little hack allows me to toss things in the trash can and hit the target. Also, I can lift the trash can to empty it and put in a new grocery bag.
Shower chair and towel
3. Pretty simple. It’s just an aluminum and plastic chair that I use in the shower on really bad fibromyalgia days. But we use the chair outside of the shower every day. It’s become much easier for me to do my makeup, too.
My OCD drawer
4. I have two small drawers in the bathroom. This one is for my morning necessities. I call it my OCD drawer because of the organization. Nobody uses this drawer but me, so I can keep it extra neat. The front basket might have cost $1 at Dollar Tree. Top to bottom: 3 narrow combs, each a little different; deodorant; toothpaste; and 3 toothbrushes, each a little different, and separate from the combs. The right hand box is an old check box with little first aid type items.
For kids only
5. My last little drawer was set up when my nearby granddaughters started playing with makeup. So Grandmommy needed a special place for her sweeties to play with cosmetics. The used baby wipes container is filled with lipsticks, children’s sparkly eye shadows, and glittery fingernail polish. Above the cosmetics box is a pack of false eyelashes, just for play! The rest of the drawer doesn’t interest them yet, so I get to store a few things.

So you’ve seen some of my bathroom hacks. I’d love to hear about yours, too. ☺️
