Wall of knobs? Updating hardware

Your doubts about the silver ones are well founded. They look a bit skimpy on the cabs. Without knowing which room the cabs are in or what colors you use, I'd suggest that you simply paint the knobs on the 2 upper cabs, and buy 2 vertical pulls for the lower cab--giving it more 'weight' (naturally, it would mean drilling an extra hole in lower cab doors as well as painting the new pulls to match the knobs.

If you want silver you could just spray paint those knobs silver with a metallic spray paint. I do agree that the silver knobs you bought do look a little small but I love the shape!

I used pulls and knobs that complemented the handles on refrig. Turned out great. Hope that gives you another idea of what can be done.

Again, not knowing where this is, or what your decorating style is, have you thought of using different handles or knobs for each cabinet? Your hinges are dark, so perhaps some darker ones, some colored, some glass, etc. Just seems that might add some interest. Or some interesting cup-type handles would look nice.

It's all about scale. The silver one's look very nice but they are too small for the cupboard. Try buying the same handles but in a larger size. It's funny how something little can trick your eye and you can't quite put your finger on what's wrong. You may like the larger look better.

I would go to Habitat Restore and get handles there. This is a double impact, saving our landfills and helping the homeless.

Whatever color you decide on consider painting the hinges to match the color of the knobs. A color that contrasts with the white of the cabinets would be nice.

I like the medium sized black and white ones. I think these would make your doors look really nice. The plain black and white knobs...meh...a little too simple but the elongated black decorative piece under the white knobs are terrific. p.s. don't paint the hinges. The paint always chips off.

There is a style of pull that sort of wraps from the inside edge of the door in curve over the side of the door. Painted the same color and gloss as the doors they would visually disappear. The doors look like they overlay, so another option would be to replace some or all of the doors with tall ones and so reduce the number of pulls needed.

I think they look well enough, and probably wouldn't change them, but if you want a little change, why not use nail varnish to pot them or stripe them or cover them or mix and match????

@Hop34068060 I also purchased my pulls from Aliexpress. The prices are about 1/10th what it would have been at Home Depot. Like you, I have 3 floor-to-ceiling pantry units and the scale requires large pulls. I don't think a knob type pull of any type is appropriate for your needs.

I'm assuming your budget doesn't let you go wild and just pick out whatever you like so, take a ride to both Lowe's and Home Depot along with whatever other chain stores near you that carry hardware. They will carry the current "fashion" hardware and you can get a good idea of what's around. See how they feel in your hands, etc. and mark it down! Also take pics w/ your phone of each pull and knob you may consider. This way, as you look for less expensive sources for the hardware you can remember the options.

Before you go, carefully count what your needs are.

You want to look at each size cabinet and drawer to assign it certain info like door size, do you need a pull vertically/horizontally/either?

For overall design cohesiveness, try to keep to 1-2 sizes for vertical use and 1-2 sizes for horizontal use. You may discover that you have a couple of drawers/cabs that don't fit into the basics so just be certain to order hardware in the same line, sized to those cases.

I know it's shocking to see how much new hardware adds up to but, it really does make an essential statement in the kitchen!
