Depends on what type of finish you would like. But I would primer them once they are cleaned well. I think if you do just about any spray paint should do nicely.

    Hi there

What tye of material is your blinds made of??

    If they are vinyl:

Select a spray paint specifically designed for plastic, resin and vinyl, otherwise the paint won't adhere properly. No primer is required for some plastic spray paints; otherwise feel free to use a plastic primer along with a standardspray paint. Shake the spray can for a minute or two

    If they are wood:

Paint one side of each slat with with acrylic based enamel paint using a paintbrush. This type of paint will hold up well over time and is easy to clean. Apply paint on the edges and then set each slat back down on the tarp.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck

I am going to do this to mine. I plan on cleaning them with TSP first and then hang them outside to spray them. I’m going to use Rustolium paint I’m not sure how the strings will turn out with the paint but will try it anyways. Good luck with your project

Good luck to you too Peggy. The article I saw on how to do this was to hang them on a clothesline.

I just use my carport. It has all sorts of paint and stain spots.
