Take a leaf sample and the picture of the blooms and plant to your county extension office or a university botany department. They should be able to tell you exactly what it is and if it's edible
These are scarlet runner beans. They will usually climb a 6 foot trellis and still be within reach for picking.
That was my first answer but there are some sneaky imposters in the plant world and decided it would be better to get an expert answer before eating them. Scarlet runners are easy to grow and taste great, Wish they would grow here in AZ
Yes, safe to eat. Pick them when you have a dozen or so. That will encourage more beans to form.
