Washi tape is Fun and easy to use. Instead of buying new hair clips, update the ones you have.
You will need just a few supplies.
Select your tape and cut a piece just a few cm longer than the clip you want to cover.
I turn the tape and the clip upside down, as it is easier to center them.
Using a smooth item, I lightly smooth the tape into the creases. Trim the tape close to the pinchers. (The portion which you squeeze to open the clip).
Now smooth the remaining tape onto the underside.
Once all is completed, you will need to trim the excess from the tips. Smooth the paper, going in one direction only, until all the ( if any) wrinkles are out.
It is easy to trim the tip from this direction. Then just smooth the edges and it will seal itself around the edges. These have large holes, so puncture the paper through the hole and smooth out. That way hair won’t get stuck to it.
These are the finished products. The wide tape, on the left I cut in half length wise.
Now you can add ebllishments if you like.
Beads, tassels, pearls, charms, whatever you want.

This project cost around $10, but I have tons more tape left and four more clips, so the price per piece is very in expensive.

I use Washi Tape to decorate binders and my soap dispensers I that I refill.

This would be fun for a young girls sleep over or party.
