Heirloom White Desk Chair Makeover

UGG! I was going through my "Trash Talkin Tuesday" posts with intentions of linking back to this chair's "before" photo only to realize I had never posted about it, nor did I photograph it :(
Well CRAP! I guess you'll just have to use your imagination.
I found this chair at a thrift store probably 2 years ago (yea, I know LOL) for only $2.50. It was a dark wood tone and in good shape but the seat was, ummm...yucky! I really liked the details on it and actually had intentions of using this in my daughters room, but that was before I found a bedroom set for her that already included a desk and chair. So I figured it should be the next piece to make it's way out of the garage to be sold.
I followed the steps used in my dining room chair redo except that I added the step of distressing with a sanding sponge at all of the edges & corners.
As many projects do, the makeover started with a wipe down of liquid sander deglosser. It takes the shiny finish off the wood with no sanding which I love. I then sprayed it with 2 cans of this Antique White in a satin finish...
Rust-Oleum American Accents Satin Ultra Cover 2x, Heirloom White
It is a beautiful creamy white that lends itself very well to a light distressing.
Next, I distressed all of the edges with my sanding block...

I finished it with a thin coat of Johnson's Paste Wax (which I talked about here)
Recognize that fabric? You should! I used it on this storage bench that I refinished. I had some leftover and really like that it's neutral but textured to add some interest. As for reupholstering the chair pad, you can read a tutorial on that here.
About 30 seconds after I posted it, it was pending sale and was picked up the next day!
