  • Hi there. I have a few ideas, the easiest is using ring clips, but others can be made with few stitches fabric glue, and yet another just embellishes store bought valances. Hope they provide some inspiration. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2017/05/cheap-and-easy-curtain-ideas.html

You can use sheets, cutting and using large hemmed top of sheet as bottom of valance then make smaller hem at top or make a pocket hem and leave a little at top about rod. Hope this works for you. It really is easy.

Hi! When I make a valance, I've often use a twin sheet in the color or print I like. Use the finished hem at one end to save some sewing. Then, cut it to the length you want, allowing for the space for the rod at the new top. Iron your new hem and to avoid sewing, attach with a product like stitch witchery and leave both ends open. Then, either attach with clips or put the rod through the new hem. You can make a couple in under an hour with nothing more than a twin sheet, sharp scissors, the adhesive for the hem and an iron and flat surface to iron on. Everything, including the clips are available at stores like Walmart and on Amazon. Have fun!
