  • With pets I like the life proof wood plank flooring from home depot.

I would go with tile. If you like the look of wood, you can go with wood appearance tile. It's durable, scratch resistant, and not difficult to put down. I would go with a gray or darker grout. The only draw back would be if you have an issue with cold floors.

I would use laments or tile. Don't know if you dog is a scratchier, but the others could get damaged. Mine has a little digging dance he does before laying down. Doesn't matter if his blanket is there or not, he has to to the digging dance.

Love my Yorkie but boy is he a bad boy. My carpeting was trashed. We put down Luxury vinyl plank floor. I love it. I believe the brand was Core Tec. My husband was able to install himself. Quite a bit of measuring but very easy to install. Not many accidents now and cleans up very easily. Only negative is it feels different not quite as nice as hardwood but it is worth it to me. So glad I got a lighter color as well it hides the dirt.

Amy, thank you. Your YORKIE looks like my little girl. It does look like wood. Very nice appearance! I will check out.

  • My house is full of pets from tiny to large. I ripped out the laminate flooring and installed quality hardwood including the kitchen. Absolutely love it! Wood look tile or vinyl planks would be my next choice as they are easy to clean and maintain with pets.

Hardwood or laminate is the best way to go with any type of dog. Coming from a family which had dogs all the time, the material and practically of hardwood are always best. Quality doesn’t always matter with some materials, but for flooring, go for quality and also a experienced eye
