Room with no closet, what are some storage ideas? Help!

A metal wardrobe or one of those boxed furniture wardrobes from IKEA will enclose your stuff out of sight.

My daughter actually bought an entire wall of shelving, wardrobe, and entertainment center for the room she shared with a friend. It provided plenty of storage and allowed them to decorate a little to make it feel more homey.

There are many ways to solve this problem. I lived in a home once with no closet and used under the bed plastic holders you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes. They are simply big clear storage bags with zippers (Hefty). Amazon will have them too. I had 4 under my bed. Then sometimes you can find shelving, old hutch perhaps, old trunks to store your items. Shelves on the wall, using the space under the bed, bringing in shelving units and/or old hutches will also help. Best wishes to you!

Janene Hi If your renting a room, I assume your money is tight. Instead of make shift closet, you can buy a portable closet. It hangs two rows of clothes, one on top of the other. There is space for shoes, and shelves to store clothes. You can purchase this at Walmart, Target, or any department store. It's about $100, and they should have wheels. You can put it in different places in the room, to see what area works best. Aloha!

Missed important fact - no closet. If possible place rack in space between 2 walls. Attach closet pole brackets in such a way that curtain will conceal rack. Store blankets, extra linens under mattress.

"Hide" the rack with a curtain. You can use velcro to attach to the rack. Don't forget about the under bed storage options. There are some very pretty ones out there. I just saw this on QVC, it's a special price for today:

You could add a chifferobe or a wardrobe. Check facebook marketplace. I see where people are giving things like that away if you will just come and get it.
