How do I make a Wet room?
My husband has MND.😕. I am planning on making a down stairs room into a wet room so its easier for me n the carers later on. It would have a bed cupboard a table TV n a 'wet space' with shower /toilet/ sink. Maybe a towel rail n overhead shelf for extra towels.😉

You will need to bring in a plumber to install a toilet and shower.
And be mindful that new or relocated plumbing usually requires a permit from city/county depending on where you live. Good luck
As a caregiver the wet rooms clients have had all had tile floors sloped toward a central drain, and tile part way up the walls. The shower area has a long metal shower rod for the shower curtain or you could do a partial wall for a roll in shower, most have a shower chair made of pvc pipe on wheels the person can be seated and seat belted into and rolled into the shower, you may need a hoyer lift, and the shower has a hand-held on a metal rod fastened to the wall so it can easily slide up and down. The tile should be a non-slip porcelain finish.
If you just want a roll-in shower I would suggest a long linear drain in the shower area.

I've had a parapelgic patient who had a bedroom area with a wide, 5', doorway into the bathroom, and the nicest touch was a solar tube for daylight. A heated towel rod is another good touch, big enough to place a shower blanket over to wrap them in.
Thank you for all your ideas. Sad to say my husband got worse n never got to use the wet room😕. He passed away on 3rd November😣. I am still numbed with shock. Later I will turn it into an ensuite bedroom.
