How can I update my bifold doors?

i have a combination living room, dining area and the doors you see lead to our bedrooms off the living area.
Any ideas of a total makeover or even paint as I find them dated. Our house is old and tiny so my husband actually had to cut the doors to fit.
What about just painting them the same colour as your trim? I think you might be happier because then the will fade into the background and not stand out. :)
Barn doors are trending now. They are great space savers too!
How about a barn door.
I too, would start with painting them white to match the trim, and if you don't like it, then try something else. Make sure you use a good primer to seal in the stain and bleeding process, before painting.

Hi. Paint them black. You have black in the frames of your pictures and your dining set. By painting them black, they become part of the wall decor. By the way, you've done a very nice job on this corner of your house. You have great color sense. Happy DIY'ing!
Replace louvred with panels or glass or better yet a small plain bifold no louvres
Paint the trim and the doors the same as the wall color . they will blend in with the wall . We had the same thing in one of our homes and this works it is not to hard just be sure you do both sides of the doors .
