I usually wait until 10/1. I have fall plus Halloween. Then remove Halloween and add thanksgiving.

In my opinion it can be any time after the kids go back to school, providing you live in a state the kids start school after Labor Day.

Hi Diane. I start after Labor day. Then for Halloween I start in Oct 1. It starts to get cooler and feel like fall for me in WI so I think it is fitting.

  • Whenever you wish! First day of fall is September 22, 2018 for those of us in the northern hemisphere. Since I live in the land of heat, I wait until October 1 as even on Halloween it can easily be in the 80's. After Halloween I switch a few things out to Thanksgiving decor. Those that live farther north in cooler zones might like to start earlier. Irks me how commercials and retail push seasons so quickly. Where I live, on New Year's Eve, they are setting out Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day decor and bring out the bathing suits. Why can't we just enjoy each season?

It’s up to you but I think anytime in September is good to start.

Whenever you'd like! I'd say mid-September-early October, though, so you have time to enjoy it before christmas!

It's totally up to you :) I typically decorate around the beginning of September as I love Fall and love to enjoy it for a little longer than just a couple months. Pumpkins at nurseries start showing up then too so I love to pick some up for my porch!
