Suggestions for what to plant on this corner of house?
Recently had driveway repacked so old landscaping torn out. What would be a good plant/shrub to put on corner? Planning on putting a couple of planter urns on paved part.

tree or shrub to plant?
Depending your the lighting, I think a Dwarf Alberta Spruce tree would look great on the corner of your house.
i am always partial to rosemary, it smells nice, grows great, and you can use it in your cooking!
Ccu, you need to consider your climate, how much light this area gets, possible pests involved and your preference toward the look and shape of the mature plant or shrub. To get a really good idea of what is available, go to www.highcountrygardens.com You don't have to purchase from them, but using their filters, you can find something that will meet all your needs. Best of luck!
I would use succulents and maybe a water feature.
I would plant a nice large shrub with colorful flowers for that location. Plant it at lest 18 inches away from the house to give it room to grow. A Red Azalea would look good. Put some good compost in the whole before you plant and this will help to give it a good start.
What zone are you in? What type of soil do you have?

Depending on what type of trees they are and there root growth they have? You can make a very nice Landscaped area there. Which it is not to bad but needs some changes you decide. Just to let you know that when a Hosta sends up there flowering stems and the hosta will thrive better if you cut them stems down to the soil. They have a lot of plants and things you can plant there depending on lighting situations. So you can find out on any bush or tree about there root growth some roots stay on top and some go deep and if there is a drought them roots will go down further and look for moisture? Such as my East Coast Redbud Tree they say plant this at a least 10 feet away from house
