Hi Frances, you can make a cushion easily with fabric and a piece of foam. First measure the area you want the cushion to fit, buy the cushion foam at JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby (use a coupon for 40-50% off) and select the fabric you love. The amounts of all supplies will vary depending upon the size of your cushion(s). You can either sew this together or use a fabric glue.
Frances, you know those rag rugs from the dollar store? If you take two of them put wrong sides together and sew of three sides. (Leave the fringe on, it looks good). Stuff it with foam, old soft rags, and some people recycle grocery bags for stuffing. The rugs are so thick you won't feel the bags. You can use upholstery thread or string with a heavy needle to put them together. It's very economical too.
Good luck!
