Where to hid a key on new SUV?

Many people use magnetic key box at wheel well.

I think it's safe to say that anybody who wants to steal your car that's unattended for a period of time, will probably know all the obvious places to check for keys. Just saying!

The magnetic box will not stick to plastic so you need to find some unobvious place and easy to access metal. Try to think like a thief a car thief and do not put it where you think they will find it.

And that is the first place a crook will look.

I agree, a car thief could probably find your key. Not too many places to hide it. Why not just carry an extra key on your person / purse. Where ever the car is , you will be too. Good luck.

I presume you want to hide a key somewhere on the outside of your SUV. Does it have the spare tire attached on the outside? With the jack in the hollow side? You can put your key with that jack. In the motor compartiment (if you can open it without a key, that is), you could fasten your key with a cord on the inside of the windowscreenfluid lid..then let it sink in that compartiment. Or under the batterie.

But the safest place is on your person. If you worry about loosing your keys : the safest place is where your money is : in your purse.

I am maybe paranoid, but I am always checking and double checking if I have my car keys ; most of the time I have them hanging on a finger like a ring.. And when I go on a holiday, I put my spare key in a side-compartiment of my handbag or in my toiletstuff bag.

Depends if you want it inside or out. You could duct tape it to a side or the bottom of the battery, or the underside of the wheelwell. The inside/backside of a bumper (back or front) behind the license plate! Behind the mirror on the side
