I have collected books for over 50 years and neeed to get rid of them before we move to a new home. I do not want them to fall into a land fill. Many are series of books about history and many about science and many about art.

I have gotten rid of a bunch of big series books on Facebook yardsale/marketplace. If you list them for free someone will pick them up. You could also Google if you have a secondhand book store in the area, we have one in my town that will take a lot of books and give you a few bucks for them. And then there is always Goodwill!

We gave boxes of books to a V.A. Hospital. The patients there enjoy reading a variety of books. Some Nursing homes would like them. Rehab hospitals might like them. All of those places will give you receipts for your tax deductions.

Our libraries accept old books. They resell them for very inexpensive amounts. Good luck.

There are many people who love books. As myself! You can offer them at garage sale, church, hospitals, etc. What series do you have? I might be interested.

Sherri makes a good point. Libraries can always use the money. I am donating all of mine when I go.
