How do I rid my yard of mushrooms without harming my Yorker?

Mushrooms are part of a healthy yard. They grow off decomposing material under the ground. They don't last very long I wouldn't waste time trying to get rid of them. Let them do their job and they'll be gone.
As I am walking around my yard with my chihuahua I pull them out and toss them in the woods. Some get big! We also just mow over them. They will decompose into the lawn.
Mushrooms made up of a kind of spore. If you truly want to be rid of them- or at least cut down the amount you have in your yard you need to carefully pull them and immediately put them in a plastic bag so the spores don't spread causing more mushrooms to grow.
