How do I hang a click on a stone wall? Right now as you can see I have it hanging from a ribbon attached to the molding on a hook. But it looks like, well not good. Lol

If it's genuine stone, try heavy duty velcro (holds 10#), before pounding anything through the stone, which could deface the surface.

What I did was put a nail in the mortar, and let it stick out far enough to hang my plaque. It is a big nail that holds a hundred pounds.

Buy concrete screws. You can drill one into the mortar, but it’s a permanent deal unless you can perfectly match the mortar color after removing the screw someday. But, unless someone know to look for the screw hole, no one will be likely to notice it.

Ace Hardware or go online - they are called brick clips. I have them outside on my chimney and they support a lot of weight for my wreaths, and used them indoors on my fireplace to place a big clock. Easy to install and remove.

It looks like you have sandstone, if it feels gritty, adhesives won't work. Brick clips are great but the rock needs to stick out from the surface and be the thickness of a brick.

So if you have sandstone and don't want to drill my answer would be to keep your hook and buy some monofilament (fishing line). It's nearly invisible and will hold your clock with the right knot.
