Vanity door and drawers makeover?

I have a small bathroom vanity that I want give the door and two drawers a makeover. All three have triple beveled edges and the door has a routered center. I want to give them the shaker look, but not sure how to deal with the beveled edges. Should I just buy the oak wood and start from scratch or use thin pieces of oak wood to cover the beveled edges and make the inside panel with the same thickness wood so that all surfaces are flat? Suggestions are most beneficial.

I’m womdering if you could just reverse the doors (put the beveled fronts to the inside), cover the hinge screw holes with your flat “shaker” type strips and then do the same with the drawer front.

I would cover the whole door and the drawer fronts with plywood, add the shaker wood pieces, then paint or stain.

How about wainscotting? It's thin, inexpensive and easy to apply, just place on top and finish with your desired paint or stain!
