HELP! need to get rust out of my bathtub.

Needs solutions that are kid-friendly (nothing with too strong fumes, etc).

  • Make up a paste with bicarb and vinegar and put it over the rust mark and let it sit for awhile. I use vinegar to remove rust from everything

    Get Whink, it’s a liquid in a bottle you just squirt on. Rust disappears. Sold on Amazon and in hardware stores. Iron Out works great also, but the powder does release into the air if not poured slowly. For this you would fill the tub, add Iron Out and let sit overnight, no scrubbing required. Works great in toilet tanks too.

    Try Barkeeper's Friend. It is similar to Comet and is wonderful at taking off rust and hard water stains. Get the surface wet, sprinkle on some Barkeeper's Friend, let it set for a while, then scrub.

    I love the magic erasers for rusty water stains. Just wet it and rub the stains out easily.
